My Story

I first found aerials in when living in El Salvador, and have since trained around the world including with circus artists in Bogotá Colombia, at residencies in Mexico and at Circomedia in Bristol, UK.

My most recent work has been to develop the unique discipline of aerial balloon: aerial rope with a 6ft balloon head.  This spectacle confuses and entertains audiences, and I have been developing both family friendly acts as well as more artistic dialogues on joy and life.

Along the way I have developed my clown and worked with puppets, and I am always open to explore new challenges in performance. A lot of my performance work has been aerial focused, with silks, rope and loops being my passion, and I welcome the opportunity to get involved in new projects and be a part of the creative process. In addition to aerials, I have developed a passion for giant balloons - building these in to clown, walkabout and aerial performances, creating everything from fun spectacles to thought provoking abstract art.

Before becoming a circus artist, I was a maths teacher working in the UK and internationally with a reputation for creative lessons, adapting to my pupils' needs and being able to explain things in a way they can understand. Now I transfer this expertise to aerial silks and hammock, and work with students of all ages and abilities, teaching classes, one-to-ones and workshops.

I hold QTS and DBS certificates and can teach in a wide range of environments including schools and circus studios, and can teach and perform in both English and Spanish.
